Colin is always full of surprises and has continued to not disappoint us. 0 With the family reunited and Colin enjoying his time out of the hospital, we are getting ready to move on to the next phase of treatment. quad-2010-050 ◄ Back Next ► Picture 1 of 75 0 Colin Mugging for the Camera at Le Bonheur (Post-Ops) Our little fledgling has returned to Target House for good, following his last inpatient stay at St. Jude (barring unexpected events, of course). 0 Life doesn’t offer real do-overs, but there are times when an experience follows the parallel track of something that has come before. 0 The news of the impending loss of Colin’s port was sobering, but we put it behind us as we launched into the holiday weekend. quad-2010-050 ◄ Back Next ► Picture 1 of 75 0 With surgery set for Wednesday, Monday was a big prep day for Colin, but he demonstrated yet again that our careful planning can be rendered irrelevant by the result of a single blood culture. 0 After Thursday’s flood of good news, it seemed impossible that the trend would continue. 0 Well, today was Colin’s No Mo’ Chemo party, but for some reason, the chemo didn’t put on its listening ears. 0 Colin Outgrows His Bed ◄ Back Next ► Picture 1 of 4 Colin’s antics with his hospital bed forced us to reconsider the wisdom of using an adult bed and put him back in a crib. This was taken on the day of his admission for chemo day 8 on the final round. Last week, I made a foray [...] The last chemo precaution sign. This indicates the time of the administration and how long we need to properly dispose of diapers and so forth (48 hours after the drug has finished being administered). Well, it’s official: Colin’s I.V. chemo is done. He received a dose of vincristine Thursday afternoon at 3:22 pm. 0 |
