After Colin’s sudden swelling on Sunday, Monday started off relatively placid.

Colin’s surgery on Monday went swimmingly, a marvel of coordination between the general surgery and neurosurgery teams.

The weekend has been eventful in many ways, and Colin now hovers at the brink of the next step in his treatment, installation of the shunt and replacement mediport.

Still in the Klink

We have definitely deferred bringing Colin “home” to the Target House until we (read: the medical team) have resolved some of the lingering issues whose causes are not 100% certain.

Camp Sunshine is an incredible place for families with children with lifethreatening illnesses to find support. It costs $2,000 for a week of camp. Though much of the work is done by volunteers, they provide three meals a day for everybody and much much more.

Please help us keep the wheels turning so we can help make sure more families can experience this wonderful community. We are participating in the New Haven polar plunge on Saturday, February 25.
