On Sunday afternoon, I left Le Bonheur to pick up a few things at the grocery store, walking out of the sterile air into the openness of a springlike day.

Colin went down for surgery at around 7:00 am and I left him in the OR about 45 minutes later.

With surgery set for Wednesday, Monday was a big prep day for Colin, but he demonstrated yet again that our careful planning can be rendered irrelevant by the result of a single blood culture.

After Thursday’s flood of good news, it seemed impossible that the trend would continue.

Please join us in helping St. Jude! On Saturday, November 19, we are participating in the New York City St. Jude Give Thanks. Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, though we originally registered for the one in Meriden, CT. (Confusing, I know, but we like to keep people on their toes.)
