Post-Surgical Review

Dr. Wisoff gave us a quick post-surgical report, even before surgery was over (Dr. Harter was overseeing the closing procedure).

Colin just went into surgery and we should expect to hear word from Dr. Wisoff on the success of the resection from him.

Today, Colin enjoyed another family get-together.

Bound for the Big Apple

Today, we made a big decision regarding Colin’s treatment: we will be taking him to New York City for surgery on Wednesday by Dr. Jeffrey Wisoff of NYU.

Today, Colin had a follow-up MRI of his head and cervical spine which had to be performed under anesthesia.

Making Pinocchio a Real Boy

Colin has really enjoyed becoming a boy again, rather than a patient or freak.

Headed Home

On Thursday, we established the planning for Colin’s return home.

Today, we had the meeting with the surgeons and oncologist to discuss our treatment plan for Colin.

Camp Sunshine is an incredible place for families with children with lifethreatening illnesses to find support. It costs $2,000 for a week of camp. Though much of the work is done by volunteers, they provide three meals a day for everybody and much much more.

Please help us keep the wheels turning so we can help make sure more families can experience this wonderful community. We are participating in the New Haven polar plunge on Saturday, February 25.
