With surgery set for Wednesday, Monday was a big prep day for Colin, but he demonstrated yet again that our careful planning can be rendered irrelevant by the result of a single blood culture. 0 Oh, wait. Target House Elephants: Normally, this is a fountain, and through the holidays the pachyderms were adorned with white lights. 0 Well, today was Colin’s No Mo’ Chemo party, but for some reason, the chemo didn’t put on its listening ears. 0 The last chemo precaution sign. This indicates the time of the administration and how long we need to properly dispose of diapers and so forth (48 hours after the drug has finished being administered). Well, it’s official: Colin’s I.V. chemo is done. He received a dose of vincristine Thursday afternoon at 3:22 pm. 0 Colin is back on track with chemo, eliciting a big sigh of relief for us. 0 The children of St. Jude are now asleep, comatose in the aftermath of an orgy of candy consumption. 0 St. Jude is a superhighway of cancer care for children. 0 The big news is that Colin is set to discharge on Tuesday morning. 0 Friday was an eventful day for the whole family. 0 |
